01 Technical areas

What we do.

ROS 2 hardware integration
Development of an interface for one documented device, with diagnostics, command handling and acceptance tests. Our projects include a custom Modbus node for our operator-controlled rover and a separate ros2_control motor-controller interface.
Simulation assets and model assessment
Models from CAD and specifications, or comparison of an existing model with physical recordings. Development so far: experimental rover reconstruction and a documented steering mismatch.
02 Working terms

What you can hold us to.

Physical comparison when scoped

Hardware validation is separately scoped and includes measured error against the physical machine.

Agreed interfaces

Device protocols, software versions and required model formats are confirmed in the scope.

Small first stages

Each stage has an agreed scope, price and delivery schedule. Further work is a separate decision.

Project-specific files

Files, documentation and a handover session in the agreed formats; existing component licences are identified in the quote.

Relevant work reviewed during scoping

We distinguish completed work, bench experiments and development still required for your project.

Measured where it counts

Every report states where each result was measured — our bench or your site.

03Development project

ROS 2 motor-controller interface.

A ros2_control interface that connects ROS 2 to physical motor controllers, with velocity commands, wheel feedback and fault reporting.

Used to drive our rover through its physical motor controllers. The project page describes the implementation and tests.

04 How we engage

Scope and terms agreed before work starts.

  • Scope it small. Start with a free twenty-minute scoping call. We’ll review the task and available information, then propose a scope and price. If a paid assessment is needed first, we’ll agree that with you before proceeding.
  • Build and validate. Built and tested to the agreed scope. Hardware validation, when included, compares the model with physical measurements and provides an error report.
  • Handover. Repository, documentation and a working session, in the formats agreed for your project.
  • Terms. Deposit plus milestones; net 15. The price of the quoted scope never moves; changes are priced before they start. You own the project-specific work. Existing components are licensed for continued use with the delivery; the quote identifies them and any third-party licences your team needs.
  • Confidentiality. NDA on request; your IP and site data stay confidential and are not reused.
  • Invoicing. CAD as standard; USD available for US clients.

What your proposal covers

  • The task, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
  • Required inputs, site access and customer responsibilities.
  • The schedule, price, payment milestones and exclusions.
  • Any hardware, travel and third-party licence costs.

For work with unresolved technical questions, we can propose a bounded assessment before committing to the wider scope.
